Daisy

Hello my lovelies just popping in with a quick share of my most recent couple of makes.

It was a birthday of a special auntie a few days ago and I wanted to make her something a little special so out came a couple of Elisabeth Bell stamps which are old ones but still happen to be my favourites.  I'm not sure of the name of this style of card but I had fun making it and my auntie really loved it.  So first up....

Image:  'Daisy' by Elisabeth Bell
Sentiment:  Whimsy Stamps 'Fluttering By' sentiment set
Medium:  copics

A view of the card open and I coloured up another Elisabeth Bell image called 'Reflective'.  I also made a little pocket so I could put a voucher card in there and a tag to write on.

A close up view of 'Daisy'.  She was one of my first stamps I ever bought and still a favourite.

Challenges I would like to enter my card into:-

Bunny Zoe's Crafts  -  Summer Breeze

Crafty Ribbons  -  Anything goes with ribbon

Before I go I would like to also show you the box frame I made to go with this card.  I was very pleased with how it turned out.

Okay, it's rather late now and I should be making an effort to settle down for the night although my mind is working overtime.  Thank you for stopping by it is as always much appreciated.

Have a good week folks.

Take care.

'Just a note to say ......'

Well hello folks gosh it's been a while since I've been on here!

Life has sent some challenging things my way so far this year.  A very dear auntie lost her fight with cancer a couple of months ago, it was quick and knocked us for six really.  We have had some ongoing and challenging family dramas to deal with and work has been extremely busy.  My crafting has taken a bit of a back seat and my mojo has been in hiding.  However, I am a strong person.  Some days it doesn't feel like it but these things are sent to try us and get through them we will.

So the other day, for the first time in a couple of months, I picked up my copics and coloured an image.  Oh how I have missed my crafting.  My mojo is by no way in full swing but I am getting there and I really enjoyed the time I managed to spend in my craft room.  I made a little thank you card very similar to one I made a while back using a 'Bestie' digi image.  I apologise for the quality of the photos for some reason the first one and the close up seem to have a blue tinge to them yet they were taken outside at the same time as the side view so I don't know what I've done there.

List of Copics

Face/Body:  E000, E11, E13, R30, R20
Hair:  E41, E43, E47, E49

Okay time I was going.  I have a couple of cards I made a couple of months ago which never actually made it onto my blog so I will pop these on shortly.  Thank you for stopping by my little blog and enjoy your weekend folks.

Take care.

The Greeting Farm 'Together Anywhere'

Hello folks just popping in to share my Dies to Die For dt make.

A couple of weeks ago I used The Greeting Farm 'Together Anywhere' stamp set and made a girly card so I decided to use the same stamp set but use the male image and make a masculine card this time.  I used a sheet of designer paper from the Echo Park For the Record 2 'Tailored' paper pad and based my image colour around this.  Added a little ribbon and string and a cute tie charm and my card was done.  I don't do male cards very often but I do love how this one has turned out.

A closer look at the cheeky chappie he really is a cutie I think and very easy to colour too.

'Blowing Hearts'

Hello everyone, how are you all doing today, we are good here not really up to that much just a quiet day at home.  Hubby is watching footy results, I haven't seen my son for an hour he's holed himself up in his room I'm ever hopeful that he will be doing his homework without the usual reminders and nagging but I doubt it very much my guess is he's playing some game on his laptop and will only appear for sustenance and my little girl is currently sat at the dining room table making a fairy scene in a shoebox having let her loose with a box of my crafting goodies (I shall never see those again!!).  So whilst everyone else is occupied I thought I would jump on here and share my latest card with you.

So I am well and truly ahead of myself and have made one of my mother's day cards that I need and I have stamped up a beautiful Elisabeth Bell image which I have had for a few years now and has always been a favourite of mine.  I have her in rubber but I think she has recently been released in digi HERE and trust me she is adorable and would be useful for so many occasions.  I used a sheet of beautiful Bildmalarna paper called 'Picnick - Lots of Flowers' and just utilised both sides for my card following the fabby sketch over at The Sketchy Challenges.

You're Amazing!

Hello my lovelies a very quick pop in from me today to share my Dies to Die For dt card with you all.  I have made a card that is a tad out of my comfort zone as there's no colouring, designer paper or ribbon involved but I do love how it turned out and I think it's a good thing to challenge yourself to do something a little different from your norm occasionally.

For my card I used the 'Gingham Background' stamp from My Favourite Things which is a lovely big stamp to work with and stamped up beautifully and teamed this up with one of the sentiments from the My Favourite Things 'Banner Greetings' set and used the matching Die-namics 'Banner Greetings' die to cut out the sentiment which makes things a whole lot easier.  I then layered this up on to a die cut heart made using Nellie's Multi Frames 'Heart' set which is actually on offer over in the store.  Anyway, let me show you the outcome.

I would like to enter my card into the challenge over at Stamping Sensations which this month is 'Dies and Punches.

Okay, that's all from me today folks I hope you have had a good start to your week.  Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

Woodland Winter

Hello my lovelies, I've been off the grid for a few weeks which I've enjoyed very much but did find it difficult not to hop on to the old computer and catch up with what everyone's been up to.  We had a lovely Christmas very busy but a good busy and it always amazes me how quick the time goes.

So anyway, I know you've all probably had enough of anything Christmas related but Tracy at Dies to Die for sent me the most cutest set of stamps and as my Christmas stash was still out all over my craft room I couldn't resist playing with them.  The stamp set is 'Woodland Winter' by Taylored Expressions and you get such a fab choice to play with and if you look on the shop website here there is even a set of matching dies you can use.  I kept my card really simple I paper pieced the tree from a couple of sheets from the paper pad 'December Documented' by Simple Stories, coloured up the cute little squirrel with my copics and stamped out one of the sentiments in the stamp set.  Such a simple card but I love it.

Challenges I would like to enter:-

Creative Inspirations  -  Christmas/New Year

Simon Says Stamp  -  anything goes

Okay so that's all from me today.  I hope you had a lovely Christmas and wishing you all the very best for a happy and healthy New Year.

Take care.
