For my creation I used the new Maribelle Milk Maiden by Elisabeth Bell with the sentiments Simple Sayings Notables 5 from Raindrop Echo Designs and felt it only fitting to make a couple of milk cartons and holder.  Here come the piccies:-

Whimsy Challenge 61 - Ribbon & Lace

Good morning folks and a very happy Wednesday to you all.  Its another beautiful day here a little on the warm side but that's not me complaining we've waited too long for this so I'm determined to make the most of it!

Anyway, today it is the Rubber Team's turn to show you their creations for the Whimsy Challenge which is Ribbon & Lace.  Its an easy and fun theme and the rules are real easy too and as always there are fab prizes up for grabs so check out the Whimsy Challenge Blog HERE for all the information and oodles of inspiration.  Remember you got to be in it to win it!!!

Well onto my card which I made for the challenge.  I've used an Elisabeth Bell stamp called 'Apple Blossom' and coloured her with my copics.

Medium:  copics
Papers:  My Minds Eye 'Quite Contrary'

A side view.  I used some lace and ribbon to make the flower.  I just cut a length of each and then used a running stitch along the edge and gathered it and popped a pearl brad in the centre to finish off.

The close up of the cutie pie image.  Loved colouring her and really happy with how she turned out.

New challenge at ABC Challenges

Hi all on another glorious sunny day on the South Coast.  Hasn't it been fantastic hope it lasts into the kiddies summer holidays.

Anyway, its the 15th today so that means its another challenge time over at ABC Challenges and I've popped on to show you my DT card.  We are on the letter 'R' so the new challenge is 'R for Roses are Red' so that's flowers and/or the colour red.  We are sponsored by the fabulous Bugaboo and I've used one of their fabulous images and I've opted to use both flowers and the colour red, albeit a deep burgundy.  I've made one of my most favourite card types and that's a criss cross card, love them and so easy.   Why not pop over and take a peek at my teamies creations they're all so gorgeous and an eyeful of inspiration for you.

The image has been coloured using my Prismacolor pencils blended with Sansador and dirtied up using Tim Holtz 'walnut stain' distress ink.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts but everything else I had in my stash.  The papers are gorgeous and were a freebie download which I've had for a while when I find the link I'll update my post.

Okay that's it for today no more waffle from me.   I'm up nice and early so I'm off now to get packed lunches and kiddies ready for school.

I hope you are having gorgeous sunshine where you are.  Catch up with you soon.

Take care,
Ann-Marie

Shabby or is it vintage .......

... I never really know - is it one and the same or are they both different?

Anyway, hello everyone and a happy Tuesday to you all.  The countdown has begun - only two weeks and two days until the kiddies summer holidays and I can't wait (you can remind me of this on the fourth week into the hols when I'm pulling my hair out!!!).  So we have a very busy couple of weeks coming up what with leavers assemblies and bbq's, discos, summer fairs and classroom meets where you get to go in and see all their lovely work.  They always seem to cram it in last minute so I have so many dates running around my head I'm not sure whether I'm coming or going.

Okay, enough of my ramblings lets move on to my card.  I thought I'd stamp up a Tilda and she's been coloured using a mixture of copics and promarkers.  I thought I would do a 'shabby' card this time so I stamped her in Memento 'London fog'.  I also followed the sketch over at CLP challenge but I've managed to cover up quite a lot of it with all the embellies but go check it out if you're like me and love a good sketch its certainly one of the places to head over to.

Image:  Magnolia Tilda with Umbrella
Medium:  copics/promarkers
Paper:  Melissa Frances 'c'est la vie'
Flowers:  large daisy/dahlia & beaded Gypsophalia from The Ribbon Girl, roses and cherry blossoms from WOC
Dies:  Spellbinders 'fleur de lis rectangles', Memory Box 'fushia sprig', Dienamics 'crochet border'
Martha Stewart butterfly punch
Ribbon:  pearl rose ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, other ribbon from stash

A bit of a side view up next where you can see that gorgeous daisy.  The corner and frame with the sentiment I made myself out of Martha Stewart polymer clay and silicone moulds.

A closer look at Tilda and the Martha Stewart frame.  I bought a kit a month or so back (I think it was the 'heirloom' kit) where I got a few silicone moulds and some clay and seriously its lovely to work with its so tactile you can't help but play.  I've never used polymer clay before but I'm seriously thinking of getting a few more moulds just love it!.
