Wish upon a star ........

Good morning folks and a happy Wednesday to you.  Here's hoping its a much better day weatherwise than  yesterday which was horribly wet and windy and so blinking cold.  Come on where's the nice weather surely it has to make an appearance soon!

Anyway, lets get to why I'm here.  I have my GDT card to show you for the ABC Challenges which today is N for Not just one (make a card with 3 or more embellishments).  So a nice easy one really with all those lovely embellies that are around to use.  We are being sponsored by the fab Lili of the Valley and Stamp Fairy for this challenge and don't forget you can pop across here for lots of yummy inspiration from the rest of the talented dt members.

I used Mimi Stars from the Stamp Fairy isn't she adorable and as soon as I saw her I knew that I wanted to make a tent card with acetate in the opening so I could add some gem stars on it.  My card sort of just progressed from there I found the background paper when mooching through my stash and the two diecut stars I made to look like buttons by punching a couple of holes in them.   I made a double bow, added a wire star and lots of twinkly crystals and voila it was done.  I hope you like it.

Medium:  copics
Paper:  old Kanban I think

A little bit of a side view and you can see its a tent card.  I used glitter card inside so its a little bit sparkly in there too!

Lastly my close up of the adorable image.  She was lovely and easy to colour and I cut her out and used glue gel to 3d her on the front.

copics used

Dress:  B32, B37, B39, C1, C3, C5, C7
Hair:  E50, E53, E33, E35

Okay enough of my waffle for today I shall love you and leave you and don't forget pop across to ABC Challenges and have a go you got to be in it to win it!!!!

Enjoy the rest of the week and I hope you manage to squeeze in a little crafty time.

Take care,
Ann-Marie

Hello little butterfly!

Hello folks how are you all doing, good I hope.  Well I'm happy as its Friday and the beginning of the weekend YEH!  We're seeing family tomorrow my mum, sisters and I are all descending on my aunt for the morning and having a big cooked breakfast together so should be fun.  We do it maybe once a month or so and its great to catch up.  The kiddiewinkles love it as they have cows, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs and they've just got a couple of little lambs as well and they are still being bottle fed so they're going to have a go at doing that - thats if they can get past me first :)

Anyway, moving on to my card.  I dug out a couple of Magnolias for this one.  I've also coloured with Prismas onto Kraft card and love the softnest of it.

Image:  Magnolia Tilda 'hello little butterfly' and 'shabby fence'
Medium:  Prismacolor pencils
Paper:  K & Co. 'garden collage' very old paper pad
Flowers:  Wild Orchid Crafts
Dies:  Spellbinders 'floral ovals', Tim Holtz on the edge 'butterflies'

I didn't mask these images together this time but coloured Tilda separately and cut her out and used glue gel to 3d her slightly.  You can just make it out in the side view piccie.

The usual last piccie is a close up.  Really happy with how this turned out, really pleased with the fence although I ended up covering quite a bit of it up in the end.  This card was one that came together really easy and I love it when that happens.

Prismas used
Skin:  light peach, peach, burnt ochre
Dress:  pink rose, hot pink, cloud blue, blue violet lake, violet blue
Hair/boots: beige, light umber, dark umber
Fence:  white, 90% cool grey

Just because .....

Well hello everyone and happy Sunday to you all.  I hope you've all been enjoying your weekend and if you're lucky making the most of the weather.   Its been a glorious day here today and about time too I say.

Anyway, I'm here to show you my card which has been made really for a 'just because' moment.  Its always handy to have one of these in my box.  I decided to dig out my Hanglar stamps for this card.  I do love these stamps but I don't own many and I'm not even sure if the company is still going as there doesn't appear to be any stamps on their website.

Not many embellishments for me really, but I liked the paper so much I couldn't bear to cover it up so it ended up being quite a simple card.

Image:  Hanglar Stanglar
Medium:  copics
Papers:  Prima 'Rongdelle'

A quick side view.  I cut the image out and stuck her on with glue gel to make her quite 3D.  The inside has been decorated to compliment the front.

I'm a bit disappointed with the hair this time but that's one of the things I'm always practising!

Guest Designer for ABC Challenges

Hi folks I'm so happy today I have the huge honour of being a guest designer for the ABC Challenges for May isn't that fab.  Thank you so much for having me and I hope I do you proud.

The new challenge today is M for Make is Sparkle and we are being sponsored by The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and Tilda's Town.  You can hop over here and see what beautiful creations the very talented dt have created there's always lots of inspiration to be had.

Okay so let me show you my card I made for the challenge.  I so love a bit of sparkle so I went to town on this one.  Even the papers I picked for the card have glitter accents on them!  I went back to one of my fave Tilda's for this card and I have had another go and using my distress markers too.

Image:  Magnolia Tilda 'summer flower tilda'
Medium:  Distress Markers
Papers:  My Mind's Eye 'penny lane'
Dies:  Spellbinders 'floral ovals', Marianne Creatables hearts

All the flowers have been sprayed with pearl glimmer mist and dipped in glamour dust.

A little close up of the so cute image.  Still learning with the distress markers but I'm fairly happy with this one.  I added some glamour dust to her wings and flower too - you can never have too much sparkle he he!!

Well we have some fairly good weather here not overly warm but at least its dry and a little breezy so I'm going to go get my washing on the line.

Catch up with you soon and happy crafting.

Take care,
Ann-Marie
