Hay there!!!

Howdy folks, I hope you all had a fab weekend and managed to squeeze in some crafty time.

I have something to show you today which is a little bit different from my norm.  Its my uncle's 50th on Saturday and my aunt asked me to make a card for the occasion.  Now my uncle is a right old country bumpkin right down to his field of cows.  My kiddies love to go visit and see all the animals and to take the dogs across the fields and perhaps see my uncle on his tractor so when I saw this Stampendous stamp I had to have it.

I decided to make a criss cross card and the papers are a download from The Digichick and I thought were a perfect match to the stamp.  The hinges were a separate element and I just resized, printed and cut them out.  The image is coloured with copics and pencils.

Didn't think I could get away with putting flowers on it so I used the Wheat images from the download kit and think it works rather well.  I decided to use some buttons and again as I could not go really girly and use ribbon bows I got the raffia out instead.  I really do struggle with mens cards it just seems a little bare to me.

Okay folks hope you have a great start to the week and fingers crossed I think we may see some sun!

Take care, happy crafting.

Somewhere over the rainbow

Hello everyone I hope your week is going well so far. Mine has been quiet and uneventful and I'm not complaining its been lovely really.

Popped on to show you a bookatrix birthday card I've made.  Haven't done one of these for absolutely ages and before I began stamping these were what I made the most, then of course stamping and colouring took over, but I really enjoyed combining the two and will definately be doing it again.

I'ved used a total of four Magnolia stamps on my card which has to be a record for me and all coloured with Flexmarkers and Prismacolor pencils.  All flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Challenges I would like to enter:-

Okay going to dash, my little girl's theme at school this week is Fairytales and she has a sock puppet to make for Friday for school which would normally be fairly easy but oh no she has decided she wants a Cinderella sock puppet with blue dress and all.  Not quite sure how I'm going to achieve that one as sewing and me don't go together, wish me luck!!!!

Take care and happy crafting.

Happy Mail

Hello my friends I hope your week is going well so far.  All is good here but having Monday off has so thrown me - it doesn't really take much!

Just thought I would quickly show you a book card I have made, although it nearly went in the bin!  In my infinate wisdom!?! I thought I would add some liquid pearl dots to the image and then proceeded to smudge it all over the place hence the swarm of butterflies to try and hide it.  Then decided I would add a few more pearl dots so not only do we have the swarm it also now looks like shes in the middle of a snowstorm!!!!!

The gorgeous images are some of the first ones I ever bought and still love them dearly.  Coloured with copics and pencils and managed to achieve something a little softer this time.  Sentiment is from Whimsy.

A quick view of the inside.  The tag is made from Nellie Snellen dies.  Papers used were from My Minds Eye Laundry Line so yummy and glittery.  The ribbon flower on the front is hand made the rest are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Challenges I would like to enter:

The Sugar Bowl  -  Great sketch + fave image (had to be my Elisabeth Bell images as I said before these were the first ones I bought and set me on the road to my stamp addiction!!!)

Okay thats it from me, I've got an hour before I pick up kiddies from school so I think a quick stamp and colour is in order (quick ha ha not the fastest crafter me!!)

Take care folks and happy crafting.
